Subject Problems redirecting to HTTP 1.0 browser?
Date Fri, 04 Jan 2002 18:35:54 GMT
It seems that netscape 4.77 (which uses http 1.0) and IE (set to use http
1.0) both seem to fail miserably when they receive a redirect from Tomcat.
The redirect comes in the form of a '302 moved temporarily' response which
Netscape displays, and IE just hangs.

Is server side redirecting impossible with 1.0 browsers? I tried using the
HTTP 1.0 Connector in Tomcat, but it didn't change anything.

Do i have to replace all redirects with forwards? Is the problem that HTTP
1.0 defaults to closing connections? Is there any way to get around it if it
is?

Thanks! I'm getting quite desprrate...

Klaus
