Subject Tomcat 3.2.3: JSP's Fail At Times And Succeed At Other Times
Date Wed, 28 Nov 2001 18:03:36 GMT

Hey folks. Using Tomcat 3.2.3 on Solaris 2.6. Experiencing the problem where a working JSP
will stop working if a change is made to it. Even if the original code is restored it still
fails when in this mode. It returns a '404' error claiming it's not found when it is clearly
the same link that was used before. Almost looks as though the time stamp change or file
inode change caused the failure to find it!!! The server has been stopped and restarted several
times.

This doesn't always happen. Sometimes these same files decide to work! Any idea how to discipline
this beast? 'tools.jar' is definitely in my CLASSPATH. It wouldn't make sense that tool.jar
would be the problem anyway since it works sometimes and doesn't at other times...

Using JDK 1.2
