These things are defined in web.xml
Have a look through the manual on how to use this file with tomcat.

Donie
ps: Here's a simple sample. The servlet has to be in WEB-INF/classes. So
what?
<web-app>

  <servlet>
    	<servlet-name>ppg</servlet-name>
    	<display-name>ppg</display-name>
    	<description>my Servlet</description>
    	<servlet-class>com.company.pkg.mydir.myservlet</servlet-class>
  </servlet>

  <servlet-mapping>
        <servlet-name>ppg</servlet-name>
        <url-pattern>/ppg</url-pattern>
  </servlet-mapping>

  <session-config>
    	<session-timeout>30</session-timeout>
  </session-config>

  <welcome-file-list>
  	<welcome-file>index.jsp</welcome-file>
    	<welcome-file>index.html</welcome-file>
    	<welcome-file>index.htm</welcome-file>
  </welcome-file-list>

</web-app>

Subject: Use Servlets

Hi,

how to use servlets with tomcat 4? is it mandatory to put servlets in
servlets folder or is it possible to use different folders?
How to define the servlet used as default one when the user comes to the
site (such as index.jsp with JSP)

thanks for your help!
