Hi Brandon,

you are sure that this is not an effect of the garbage collection?
In development you will not have that many objects created (due to lower
usage of the system) and therefore not that much gc activity.
Try to play around with the incremental garbage collection settings or to
look into your system with JProbe or comparable monitors.
Have you seen http://java.sun.com/docs/hotspot/gc/ ?
