Actually, I am not setting up virtual hosts like you are, so the 
mod_webapp result of application deployment *should* be localhost 
(what's set as my ServerName), right?

My apache error_log looks like this on startup:

Looks like mod_webapp isn't able to talk to Tomcat.  Yes, it's running, 
verified by the fact that I can surf my app at localhost:8080.

Could my problem be that I need a mod_webapp-eapi.so (of which I don't 
see one to download...)?
