<P>In a win32 environment, Tomcat as a command line instance get's it's classpath info
from startup.bat and tomcat.bat.&nbsp; If you installed it as a service, it would get
it from; </P>
<P>I don't believe you'd get a performance increase by trimming it down in the manner
you suggest.&nbsp; Using Apache integration soluiton might improve your performance if
you are serving static pages.&nbsp; This will allow Tomcat to process the JSP, etc. and
Apache will act as the web server.&nbsp; <BR><BR></P></DIV>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;before I go on with configuration experiments, which are alawys

<DIV></DIV>&gt;I would like to know what yur experience is with Tomcat running

<DIV></DIV>&gt;servlets, and for that matter the 2.3 specification.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;The servlets 2.2 package I have simply deleted from my system.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;how can
<DIV></DIV>&gt;you customize a slim down version of tomcat in stand alone
<DIV></DIV>&gt;process only servlets (+ XML) and forget about JSP's?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Can you simply delete all jasper*.* files and all references
to them
<DIV></DIV>&gt;in the
<DIV></DIV>&gt;web.xml and server.xml files?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Should Tomcat run faster this way?
