Subject Re: Can use ASP pages in Tomcat
Date Mon, 16 Jul 2001 05:37:36 GMT
Hello Gill,

It is possible to use ASP pages in Tomcat, but tomcat will not process
these pages, the source code will be the one set to the client.

Tomcat's main purpose is as a Servlet Engine or Container. Processing
.jsp and running servlet classes..;-)

Since you are already using, IIS, this already process your ASP pages
for you... Leave the processing of Servlets and JSPs to Tomcat, Resin,
or some other Servlet Containers..

As far as the components are concerned, perhaps it may be better for you
to use CORBA with Java.

Cheers,

John Clark
