I've been trying to do an RPM of xerces-j, but I didnt finish the
SPEC, just made a quick hack to have ant compile it (too much javac in
original Makefile, and I think that lengthens total compilation time).
I like the original Makefile trick, though.

Anyway, you can do rpm -i --nodeps to make RPM ignore dependencies.
