Well... this isn't a validator, per se, but I've used it before for that
purpose...

Try viewing your .xml file with Internet Explorer.  I'm using v5.  It
presents .xml files in a tree navigator... its pretty convenient...  and it
might point out some xml bugs...

As a matter of interest, is there a way to validate Tomcat XML files other
than looking at them very carefully?
