Subject problem starting tomcat in standalone mode under linux
Date Thu, 28 Sep 2000 14:51:57 GMT
Hello,

I have just downloaded Tomcat and followed the standard unix instructions
closely. Tomcat starts fine in standalone mode, but
pointing my browser at localhost:8080 crashes it immediately. The error I get
starts with the following lines:

SIGSEGV   11*  segmentation violation
    si_signo [11]: SIGSEGV   11*  segmentation violation
    si_errno [0]: Success
    si_code [0]: SI_USER [pid: 0, uid: 0]
	stackpointer=0x446806a4

Full thread dump Classic VM (1.2.2-L, green threads):

I have attached the full error message as a plain text file. The machine I am
using runs Debian.
Any help would be much appreciated.
