Subject RE: direct going to tomcat 3.3? without tomcat 3.2 release?
Date Thu, 10 Aug 2000 16:49:29 GMT
No, there will be a Tomcat 3.2 release. The reason for the "3.3 dev" mark is
that the nightly builds are made from the main CVS trunk, whereas tomcat
3.2 lives in tomcat_32 branch. So there is a lot of development going on in
the main trunk, but tomcat_32 branch is in stabilisation mode.

So you have two options if you want to use the latest version of Tomcat 3.2:

1) Download Tomcat 3.2 beta2 (which is not the very latest version, but
good enough)
2) install CVS, check out the tomcat_32 branch and build it yourself

Hi.. all

I downloaded Tomcat source from Jakarta 20000810 nightly version and
compiled with jdk 1.3.
After compiling Tomcat 3.3 and launching Tomcat, I found the wecom page
which has 3.3 dev mark
in it. Does Tomcat go directly 3.3 without 3.2 release?
