Try to stop TomCat sometimes before a new running.
If you get the same error on the first stop, try to kill the process.
To do this type something like "ps -ef | grep java" and look wich is
the Tomcat one.

refused

Dear all,

I have tomcat 3.1 and Apache 1.3.12 running on NT4 SP5, jdk 1.3,
jsdk2.0
from SUN,

I did test tomcat with the test-tomcat.xml file doing a

bin\tomcat ant -f conf\test-tomcat.xml -Dport=8001
- -Dhttp.protocol=HTTP/1.1
client

I received the error:
FAIL SimpleRedirect (GET
/test/servlet/dispatch.SimpleRedirectServlet?/index.html HTTP/1.0)
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further info
at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Native Method)
...

The same error occurs when i do a tomcat stop.

To me it seems that tomcat is running, I do see log messages in
servlet.log
:
Context log path="/examples" :tomcat.errorPage: init
Context log path="/examples" :jsp: init
Context log path="/examples" :default: init

What's wrong here ?

Thanks.
