I'm sure it works, but it doesn't seem right.  Anybody else have an opinion?

Also, if you're encapsulating the data in non-enterprise javabeans, are you
passing the data connection around to the objects?  The idea is that you use
the connection pooling of JDBC2 and keep the connections in the individual
objects.  The problem with that is you could have a bunch of objects and
therefore a bunch of connections open.  Another way to do it, such as with
an Address object, is open and close a connection on instanciation/read
and/or at the time of commit/write.  

Comments? Questions? Sarcasm?
