have you got jserv running on that workstation? the error means
that something else is using the port that tomcat is trying to
bind, either 8080 if standalone or 8007 if using mod_jk or
mod_jserv thru apache. check to see if anythings using that port
(with netstat - the exact syntax eludes me) and try a
'/etc/init.d/jserv stop' too
