You can probably get more sense from your stack trace if you disable the JIT
for Java. This will give you line numbers where exceptions are thrown
instead of "Compiled Code".

You can do this by setting the environment variable JAVA_COMPILER to be
"NONE" before starting up Tomcat.

The entry for
rvice might be your clue.
