Hi.

While Tomcat can serve requests to static HTML pages, Apache is probably
more efficient at serving these kinds of requests. Also Apache supports
things like CGI, and has many add-in modules to support all kinds of
different features.

JServ is an add-in module for Apache that provides servlet support for
Apache. In a simple sense, Apache with JServ is similar to Apache with
Tomcat, except that JServ does not offer support for JSP.

These issues are explained in more detail in the user guide that comes with
Tomcat.
