There's a subtle difference between having the contexts automagically loaded
and having your server.xml auto-generated.

As an illustation, commen out all of your Context entries from server.xml.
Stop and restart Tomcat.  Providing your $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps directory is
setup correctly, when you "cat" the tomcat.log file, you should see a number
of Contexts being automatically loaded.

This doesn't modify your server.xml file, but the end result is the same
thing =)
