Are you sure it's not just a lengthy operation? =)

It could be a small amount of code being compiled, and the execution just
takes a while.  Are you opening/closing multiple connections or doing heavy
computation?  Maybe computation while scrolling through a ResultSet?

Just trying to get the juices flowing!
