When your run the ./shutdown.sh you also have to point it to the modified
.xml file that points to the 8008 and 8009 ports..

./shutdown.sh -f /path/to/server_with_8008.xml
./shutdown.sh -f /path/to/server_with_8009.xml

Subject: stopping tomcat

I'm having a problem stopping tomcat. I'm running apache/solaris and using
two virtual hosts - running at 8008, and 8009.

Things start up fine, but when I try to run the "TOMCAT_HOME/bin/shutdown.sh
stop" I get the following error messages:

<snip>
Stop tomcat
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

        at org.apache.tomcat.startup.Tomcat.main(Tomcat.java:163)

I started Tomcat with the -f /path/to/server.xml option.

Things run fine with it working, I just can't get it to stop correctly!

Thanks -

Kevin
