Subject isSecure() not implemented?
Date Thu, 01 Jun 2000 03:59:46 GMT

It looks like:
  HttpServletRequest.isSecure()
  HttpServletRequest.getScheme()
  HttpServletRequest.getProtocol()
are not really implemented yet.

However, I found that

	HttpServletRequest.getServerPort()

returns "443" for an SSL connection and it
returns "80" for a non-SSL connection.

Assuming that I have apache configured to listen to 443 for HTTPS
connections and 80 for HTTP connections...

Is there any reason why I shouldn't use the port number instead
of HttpServletRequest.isSecure() to determine whether this is a
secure connection to my servlet or not?

Thanks!
Hunter
