Subject About tomcat 3.1 for servets
Date Thu, 01 Jun 2000 23:55:44 GMT
Hi Graham,
                     To the best of my knowledge ,there is no explicit need
to include the servlet.jar in the classpath, b'cos ( assuming u are
using tomcat ) in the startup.bat / startup.sh batch script , the
classpath is  automatically set.
                      And yes.........about the second point "rt.jar" or
"tool.jar" , I  hvn't  tried  out  it !

Bye-
-Amit.

I include the servlet.jar file in jakarta-tomcat/lib in the classpath,
which seems to work OK, avoiding a separate download.
Also I use jdk1.3/jre/lib/rt.jar rather than src.jar but I dont know if
that makes any difference.
