What else wouldn't work if my TOMCAT_HOME variable isn't set? 'tomcat start; and tomcat stop' works fine. And sorry was reading from someone else email. But startup and shutdown doesn't work for me. Carl Parrish Webmaster ComputerPREP.com -----Original Message----- From: Viehl Clemens [mailto:c.viehl@syborg.de] > Quick note. I've notice that the documentation says to start > Tomcat with > start.bat. I couldn't get this to work with Tomcat 3.1 on > WinNT 4.0 instead Is your TOMCAT_HOME Environment variable set? You mean startup.bat ? Regards Clemens Viehl
