Subject Re: compilation problems on AIX
Date Thu, 04 May 2000 10:01:15 GMT
hi javor
with the new command there should be a diffrence, it no longer
trys to build "autochange.so" AND "mod_jserv.so" does it ?
x
i had the same problem on solaris. the solution is that you have to
link with the option for shared library, then the linker doesnt complain
anymore about unsatireferenced symbols and builds the mod_jserv.so.

the problem is i dont know which option it is on aix, try the manpage
for me it was -G , so i executed the last line manually cut n paste it and
put in the option, it looks like
ld -G bla.o ..... -o mod_jserv.so
and yes its definetly the last line then you have the file.

ld -G -H512 -T512 -bhalt:4 -bM:SRE -bnoentry
-bI:/usr/local/apache/libexec/httpd.exp -lc mod_jserv.o
jserv_wrapper_win.o jserv_wrapper_unix.o jserv_wrapper.o jserv_watchdog.o
jserv_utils.o jserv_status.o jserv_protocols.o jserv_mmap.o jserv_image.o
jserv_balance.o jserv_ajpv12.o jserv_ajpv11.o autochange.o -o mod_jserv.so

hope this helps a bit
