Subject jdbc, oracle, connection problem
Date Wed, 10 May 2000 07:24:08 GMT

I want to connect from a servlet to my oracle-db. in the old days (with
apache and jserv) everything worked fine. now under tomcat i get after a few
seconds an error message (see below). it is no problem with the driver i
think (thin driver) and no username/passwort problem. the oracle listener
listens on port 1521 and seems to work fine. is there any problem with
tomcat and jdbc/oracle ??? does it work different from apache/jserv in case
of connecting to a database???

error: No more data to read from socket
