The garbage collector can't resolve everything.

So the design or implementation error might still
lead to memory leaks. The Garbage Collector just
makes the developers job much easier, but thinking
is still neccesary (:).

Consider just a little example:

class foo {
  static Vector cSomeObjects = new Vector();

  ...Snip...
  public void bar(Object aArg) {
    cSomeObjects.put(aArg);
  }
  ...Snap...
}

Every object for that you call bar is never garbage collected...
