Subject Problems with mod-rewrite and Tomcat
Date Thu, 25 May 2000 10:02:46 GMT
Hello,

I'm trying to run some servlets with Tomcat (via Apache) on Window NT.
To be able to use shorter names, I also use mod-rewrite.

If I call the servlets with their full name (e.g.
http://localhost/tptags/servlet/TemplateParser/@client/DE/BelegkopfFrame
.html/), everything is ok and the servlet is invoked.

If I use the short name (e.g.
http://localhost/TemplateParser/@client/DE/BelegkopfFrame.html/),
mod-rewrite changes the Url correctly to
/tptags/servlet/TemplateParser/@client/DE/BelegkopfFrame.html/ and
Tomcat is called, but I'm getting this message:

Error: 404
Location: /TemplateParser/@client/DE/BelegkopfFrame.html/
File Not Found
/TemplateParser/@client/DE/BelegkopfFrame.html/

What is going wrong?

Thanks for any hints.
Markus
