Are You using beans or something that in turn use sqlj?? 
this is like i use SQLJ today, but i'm curious if somebody is trying to
compile sqlj-jsp pages...

Yes, this process is done by the class
org.apache.jasper.compiler.Compiler, this is the point where the patch
is needed to use sqlj seems to be needed,i think, but now i'm RTFC to
get to know how the compilation process works..
