Nitin,
Open an Msdos command window yourself and run the startup.bat from
the command prompt. Then you will see what is happening - error messages.
Do you have a JVM installed?

Subject: tomcat server not running on windows

hi
I've a little problem.AS per the user guide I set the JAVA_HOME and
TOMCAT_HOME but when I run startup.bat, it opens a new window for few
seconds
only and localhost:8080 doesn't work in the browser.
I've increased the memory space for .bat files, but all in vain.
Any idea??
-Nitin
