Subject Cookie name Path is a reserved token

I get the following error in the TOMCAT.log when a lot of requests are send to a TOMCAT 3.1
NT4.0 Spec 5 application implementation. At first the request go OK after a while this error
occurs.
After this error the server hangsup.

It appears to be an error where session Cooikies are overwritten.
Is it possible to prevent this error  by configuring the Tomcat server?
