Subject [jira] [Comment Edited] (MTOMCAT-158) WAR Overlay Does Not Include Resources
Date Sat, 09 Jun 2012 01:34:23 GMT

Thomas Broyer edited comment on MTOMCAT-158 at 6/9/12 1:32 AM:

The patch also apparently doesn't work when loading the overlays from the reactor.

Olivier, given this issue, how are you developping Archiva with so many WAR overlays? Are
you installing the overlays and restarting tomcat each time?
I see you have some configuration of the maven-dependency-plugin but it's with skip=true.

> When running tomcat[67]:run on a web application that includes WAR overlays, static resources
in those WAR overlays are not seen by the spawned tomcat server.
> Currently, WAR overlays are extracted (to target/apache-tomcat-maven-plugin) and CLASS
files are added to the classpath.
> WAR overlays can also contain static resources, like JSP, CSS, JS, etc. Tomcat needs
to be aware of these resources
