           Summary: tcnative badly handles some OpenSSL disconnections.
           Product: Tomcat 5
           Version: 5.5.20
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P2
         Component: Catalina
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: oandre@free.fr

Upon a network failure, this happens in ssl_socket_recv()
(jni/native/src/sslnetwork.c) :

SSL_read() return ZERO.
con->ssl->shutdown does not get the SSL_RECEIVED_SHUTDOWN flag.
SSL_get_error() returns SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL.
apr_get_netos_error() returns ZERO.

As a consequence, ssl_socket_recv() just returns ZERO, which is also
APR_SUCCESS. Thus, the network failure is undetected and the caller (APR) enters
a 100% CPU loop !
