For me, I have the following line in my server.xml:

    <!-- Define an AJP 1.3 Connector on port 8009 -->
    <Connector port="8009" 
               connectionTimeout="20000"
               enableLookups="false" redirectPort="8443" protocol="AJP/1.3" />

taking out connectionTimeout="20000" fixed it for me. I can't remember why i put
a timeout there in the first place, but what's the downside of taking it out?
