           Summary: mod_jk gives segmentation fault when apache is started
                    as root
           Product: Tomcat 5
           Version: Unknown
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Native:JK
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: willem.vanderscheun@gxs.com

When I startup my apache 2.0.6 with mod_jk as root I'm getting a segmentation
fault. When I startup apache as an unprivileged user it starts up just fine.
This is the error:

[root@ams591 conf]# ../bin/apachectl start
../bin/apachectl: line 87:  8486 Segmentation fault      (core dumped) $HTTPD -k
$ARGV

When I leave out the following lines from httpd.conf I can start apache both as
root and as an unpvileged user

<IfModule !mod_jk.c>
  LoadModule jk_module modules/mod_jk.so
</IfModule>
