I tested on Win 2k Server with j2sdk1.4.2_05
From:
   -The windows service manager
   -net stop / net start
   -The start menu tools

In all 3 cases the destroy methods of the servlet and the contextListener were
called.

Attaching a test war file and a stdout.log file.
