A form with method POST with only one form-field will not work

Summary: A form with method POST with only one form-field will
                    not work
           Product: Tomcat 5
           Version: Unknown
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Major
          Priority: Other
         Component: Unknown
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: sven@byteblaze.se

If I set up a html-form with only one form-field and click submit, tomcat will
take 15-20 to handle the request, and when the data finally is passed on the
next page the form-fields value in the request-object will have the value of
null.

If I however, add a dummy field with irrelevant data, making the total number
of form fields be >1, it will work like a charm. Also, if I use method GET it
will work fine with only one form-field.
