------- Additional Comments From claudio@pracilio.com  2004-02-09 18:07 -------
Thank you for your suggestions.

Apologies for not pasting the correct Connector. Here is the connector snippet
from one of my tomcat instances.
    <Connector port="7223"
               enableLookups="false" debug="0"
               protocol="AJP/1.3" />

I was using the following configuration in workers.properties:

----workers2.properties snippet-----
################################################
# Channel: Unix Socket to quokka:7204
################################################
[channel.un:/home/tuser/tomcat/7204/work/jk2.socket]
info=A channel connecting to quokka:7204 via unix socket
tomcatId=quokka_7204
lb_factor=1
lbfactor=1
debug=0

################################################
# Channel: Unix Socket to quokka:7224
################################################
[channel.un:/home/tuser/tomcat/7224/work/jk2.socket]
info=A channel connecting to quokka:7224 via unix socket
tomcatId=quokka_7224
lb_factor=1
lbfactor=1
debug=0
----end of workers2.properties snippet-----

And the jk2.properties settings for one of the tomcat instances was...
----jk2.properties snippet-----
# list of needed handlers.
handler.list=apr,channelUnix,request

# State where the UNIX domain socket is located
channelUnix.file=/home/tuser/tomcat/7224/work/jk2.socket

# Dynamic library
apr.NativeSo=/opt/apache/server/lib/libjkjni.so

# Request handler for honoring any authorization done by apache
request.tomcatAuthentication=false
----end of jk2.properties snippet-----

As you may see, I was using the AF_UNIX socket communication transport
mechanism via the channelUnix settings.

I have changed it to use the socket method via the channelSocket settings, and
the file-upload works now.

FYI: My settings are now:
----workers2.properties snippet-----
##############################
# FOR SOCKET COMMUNICATION
##############################
[channel.socket:quokka:7203]
info=Ajp13 forwarding over socket
debug=0
tomcatId=quokka_7204
port=7203
host=192.168.2.10

##############################
# FOR SOCKET COMMUNICATION
##############################
[channel.socket:quokka:7223]
info=Ajp13 forwarding over socket
debug=0
tomcatId=quokka_7224
port=7223
host=192.168.2.10
----end of workers2.properties snippet-----

And the new jk2.properties settings are...
----jk2.properties snippet-----
# list of needed handlers.
handler.list=apr,channelSocket,request

# Override the default port for the socketChannel
channelSocket.port=7203

# Dynamic library
apr.NativeSo=/opt/apache/server/lib/libjkjni.so

# Request handler for honoring any authorization done by apache
request.tomcatAuthentication=false
----end of jk2.properties snippet-----

I'm a little surprised that you mentioned that the code is somewhat out-of-
date. But then again, my source for the binaries was not via CVS, but a direct
download of the binaries.

Thanks again for your assistance. I'll stick with the Socket comminication
mechanism.

Regards,

Claudio
