Integer like attributes make Tomcat search a (I)V settter

           Summary: Integer like attributes make Tomcat search a (I)V
                    settter
           Product: Tomcat 4
           Version: 4.1.24
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Major
          Priority: Other
         Component: Jasper
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: emmguyot@wanadoo.fr

I've written a customized Tag with a non regular attribute (rtexprvalue=false)
called item.
The class extends TagSupport and have the following setter :
    public void setItem(String ch)

The tag works fine when using
    <myLib:myTag item="foo" />
but when using
    <myLib:myTag item="-1" />

I get the following error :
javax.servlet.ServletException: com.increg.serveur.tag.TagMenu.setItem(I)V

As I've read in another bug repport that setter can't be overloaded, I think
this is a bug.
