Form-based authentication doesn't work

This works for the admin webapp. The HTML code is:

<form method="POST" action='j_security_check'
 name="loginForm">
...
        <input type="text" name="j_username" size="16" maxlength="16"
id="username"/>
...
        <input type="password" name="j_password" size="16" maxlength="16"
id="password"/>
...
</form>

Please provide a test case.
Also, decision was made to use a forward, with all that implies. The spec allows
this (and it should) ;-)
