- double check your kernel version (I don't think those JDKs will run good
without a recent kernel)
- try IBM JDK 1.4.0

Anyway, VM crashes are not VM bugs (well, unless you can identify a flaw in
Tomcat which would cause the crash, but I see no such thing here).
