Confusing Error Message with jsp:forward

           Summary: Confusing Error Message with jsp:forward
           Product: Tomcat 4
           Version: 4.1.18
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Jasper 2
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: mfletche@petro-canada.ca

When a user added an invalid attribute to jsp:param in a jsp:forward tag they
got an error "org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /fixedData/cpEdit.jsp(21,3)
Param action: Invalid attribute, type". The code is below...

   <jsp:forward page="<%=CPBean.getReturnTo()%>">
        <jsp:param name="cpId" value="" />
        <jsp:param name="cpType" value="" />
        <jsp:param type="hidden" name="appDesc" value="" />
        <jsp:param type="hidden" name="balFacType" value="" />
        <jsp:param type="hidden" name="balFacId" value="" />
   </jsp:forward>

Could it not say "jsp:param does not accept attribute 'type'."
