reuse of variables

           Summary: reuse of variables
           Product: Tomcat 4
           Version: 4.1.16
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Servlet & JSP API
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: mario@ops.at

Using a code like this in jsp results in compile-errors:
---cut---
<%
    if (bAnyVar == true)
    {
        %><anytag id="sHrefString" param="A" /><%
        %><a href="<%=sHrefString%>">TEST TRUE</a><%
    }
    else
    {
        %><anytag id="sHrefString" param="B" /><%
        %><a href="<%=sHrefString%>">TEST FALSE</a><%
    }
%>
---cut---

For the first condition a "String sHrefString" declaration is generated in the
Servlet.
For the second condition this declaration is missing (wrong reuse??)
