Phew! It always makes me nervous when I have to fix something I don't
fully understand.

Just curious, when I build mod_jk 1.2 for Apache 1.3 (this is on RedHat
Linux), through buildconf.sh, configure [params] amd make, I always have
problems with this:

-------------------
make[1]: Entering directory
`/usr/src/jakarta/jakarta-tomcat-connectors/jk/native/apache-1.3'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `mod_jk.', needed by `libjk.a'.
Stop.
-------------------

The fix it trivial, but not proper (I just put 'OBJEXT=o' into
apache-1.3/Makefile). Is it my environment (libtool, autoconf, automake
etc.) doing this or is this a real problem?
