response.sendRedirect() causes a connection: close

           Summary: response.sendRedirect() causes a connection: close
           Product: Tomcat 4
           Version: 4.0.2 Final
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Catalina
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: kelsey.grant@orion.co.nz

When sending a response.sendRedirect() from a servlet, this eventually comes
out to the client with a connection: close, and a webpage attached to this.

Debugging through, it seems that there is no way to tell it not to send the
webpage (and hence, no content length, the connection close). Furthermore, any
filters are processed prior to the outputting, so a content length buffering
filter is ignored.
