Class loader fails if it can't read entire tree upto a classfile

Java classes are not *executed* by the operating system (as the "x" permission
would allow), they are *interpreted* by the JVM. Therefore the JVM must read
them, which therefore means you must provide "r" permissions on the
corresponding class files or JARs.
