exception processing in servlet doGet() incorrect

Summary: exception processing in servlet doGet() incorrect
           Product: Tomcat 4
           Version: 4.0 Beta 2
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Catalina
        AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: ronzlin@yahoo.com

I hope I am wrong on this, because I have been using Tomcat
only couple weeks but I think this is bug on servlets.
I did not find this issue in bugzilla.
I have Tomcat v4.0 running on Intel and Win NT4.0.
I have written servlet.
The servlet doGet() calls another.methodX() of another class in line2 of
doGet().
The methodX throws an exception.
The exception is not processed correctly in doGet.
That is, the execution flows continues from line2 in doGet(),
to line3, line4, etc, instead transferred to catch clause in doGet.
Any comments requested.
