Subject Servlet API error: sendError with commited buffer

Hello Folks;

We have deployed an application on a servlet engine built on top of Tomcat
3.2.3 and are seeing the response already committed (See below) errors
descibed  elsewhere on this forum. It is mentioned that there is a fix for
this in Tomcat 3.3?  Is this true?  I wanted to ask  if there is a
workaround for this problem for those of us that have to live with 3.2.3 for
awhile?  Thank you for your time.

I have a client who is unable to establish a session with out servlet
engine. 
The error recieved on the client is : 
HTTP/1.0 200 OK Connection: close Content-Type: text/html;charset=ISO-8859-1
Servlet-Engine: Tomcat Web Server/3.2.3 (JSP 1.1; Servlet 2.2; Java 1.3.0;
Windows 2000 5.0 x86; java.vendor=Sun Microsystems Inc.) 
The error on the server log file is : 
2001-11-07 17:20:25 - Ctx( ): Servlet API error: sendError with commited
buffer 2001-11-07 17:20:25 - Ctx( ): Exception in: R( + /index.jsp + null) -
javax.servlet.ServletException: Response has already been committed
