/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd started
So httpd starts, but after a second it crashes with this
[Wed Jun 20 11:31:37 2001] [info] mod_unique_id: using ip addr

The time difference here is 2 minutes, not 1 second... There's nothing
between those two log entries? Have you tried setting your LogLevel to
"DEBUG"? And you don't have core files lying around?

(hard to guess with no info) :)
