REPORT #593 Details.

Project: Tomcat
Category: Bug Report
SubCategory: New Bug Report
Class: swbug
State: received
Priority: high
Severity: critical
Confidence: public
Environment:
   Release: 4.0
JVM Release: 1.3 and also inside VAJava
   Operating System: Win2000
   OS Release: Service Pack 1
   Platform: x86

Synopsis:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Buffer size cannot be changed after data has been written

Description:
I get the following exception when trying to use Tomcat 4.0 to server a JSP. This happens
mostly for large JSP pages. I can get around it by changing the value of

org.apache.Jasper.Constants.DEFAULT_BUFFER_SIZE to a large enough value.

Below is the stack trace
