Subject RE: [PATCH] mod_jk build broken on Solaris
Date Wed, 04 Oct 2000 20:49:58 GMT
Hi Mike and other UNIX users of Tomcat 3.2,

I'm willing to commit this change, as well the "Revised mod_jk-howto"
and Henri's "TOMCAT 3.2 addons doc+patch".  However, I'm strictly
Windows based, so I won't be able to test some of these changes to insure
a problem like that below doesn't happen.

If no one -1's updating Tomcat 3.2 with these changes, I'll try to
apply them tonight.

Please test the changes ASAP so if I happen to make a mistake applying
the changes, I can correct it quickly.

Subject: [PATCH] mod_jk build broken on Solaris

Hi all - Bugrat seems to be down, so I'll post it here instead. This needs
to go in before 3.2 live!!!!!

The mod_jk build on Solaris (and probably any other Unix) was broken by the
changes for Netware - the addition of native/jk/jk_nwmain.c and the
change to native/jk/jk_global.h

1. To fix jk_nwmain.c, add "#ifdef NETWARE ... #endif" around the ENTIRE

2. To fix jk_global.h, move the #include <sys/socket.h> to just BEFORE the
"#ifndef NETWARE" block, rather than just AFTER.

So the block at the top of jk_global.h looks like

    #include <netinet/in.h>
    #include <sys/socket.h>
    #ifndef NETWARE
        #include <netinet/tcp.h>
        #include <arpa/inet.h>
        #include <sys/un.h>
        #include <sys/socketvar.h>
        #include <sys/select.h>

    #include <sys/time.h>
    #include <sys/ioctl.h>

I can send a patch if required.

Cheers... Mike
