That may be so but it's still not meant for or appropriate for
debug-style log messages.

* Some requests produce more than one message; this would produce
redundant entries

* Some messages happen outside the context of a request, either in the
background, or in library code that does not and should not know the
details of the request to pass them on to the logger.
